Hey whats up guys, it's been awhile.
I was just re-looking up how to make bags for wbs substrate and can't find it. I looked up several keywords and can't find it. It's driving me nuts.
Everything i've found just tells how to use oven bags for Pasturization, I'll be using them for wbs...Don't have any quart jars =/..
Anyways, A little help would be much apprecaited, i'll continue searching.

Edit - The one I found awhile back showed how to use cut up syringes as a way to close the bags and as a knock-up point AND as a way to get proper air exchange...anyone seen it lately?

i made one myself jsut a few days ago. i would make a tek, but its so easy it doesnt need one.
you cut a hole in the bag, tape some tyvek over the hole, fill the bag, tie off th end, pc it, let it cool, innoc, and tape over the innoc hole.
mine is colonizing perfectly right now. i used like 10cc of lc in it.

Do you think it would work to make a bag like that and pc like a myco-bag?

yeah, if you read the steps i outlined, pc was one of them. theyre way cheap alternative to jars and to buying "retail" myco bags.

Agar said awhile back that you can make homemade ones using tyvek, silicone II and a whole puncher...It's easy, cheap And it allows for great air exchange.
But I needed the bags that night, so I was trying to find a method that didn't require any silicone (needs 24 hours to cure)
I read that tek and thanks for the link, unfortunaly, it wasn't quite what I was looking for.
I'll get some jars later on I guess...I went ahead and did this...
1.Filled the bag with WBS 2.Twisted the top of the bag 3.Pulled it through the syringe piece. 4.Filled the syringe piece with polyfil.
Only problem I found with this, is that after picking the bag up mutiple times, The polyfil slowly slid Down into the bag , therefore rendering the polyfil useless...
On my second bag I stuffed in more polyfil and made it WAY tigher, in about 2 hours i'll know whether or not it worked...
Thanks for the help for the help. I hope that I can find the link, it was such a great tek.

like i said man. cut a hole and tape some tyvek on top of the hole. electrical tape works perfect and the bag can breath just fine. just dont make the hole too big.
