add these to your hosts file:
Quote:
0.0.0.0 google-analytics.com 0.0.0.0 bigboards.com 0.0.0.0 stats.bigboards.com
pretty easy in windows to modify, but I forget how to...so here's the way to do it in linux:
sudo gedit /etc/hosts
& copy/paste/save - restart your browser.

Oh, alright I've got it now. Thanks.
In WinXP you have to go to: C:\WINXP\system32\drivers\etc
at least on my machine anyhow.

here are more entries to put into your hosts file (to block more ad crap): http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.txt
I recommend changing the 127.0.0.1 to just 0.0.0.0 to speed things up even more.

I'm just assuming that you have your system files hidden. Make sure to change your folder settings.
Tools>Folder Options>View tab>Show hidden files.

surely changing 0.0.0.0 to just 0 would be even faster?
