15psi is what you should be useing. Presto's are good all americans are the best.
this one looks good.

should be as good as all american. I am not sure if national is the same or not.

5 liters is a SMALL cooker. You MIGHT be able to squeeze 4 quarts in there, but it will be close.

Well, the link you provided does not even specify a manufacturer (unless I missed it) and that is the first place to start. Email the seller and ask the who makes it. Use Google to get their (manufacturer) phone number and call them. Give them the model you are looking at and ask them for the pressure. That's what I had to do as my manual said nothing about pressure.

I did research on that National one. My friend was going to buy it. Turns out National Al. was bought back in the 60's by Regal.
It may be a good one, but their isn't enough information and my friend had difficulty getting any more information from that seller. Good thing someone outbid him on it.

Lots of old Nationals, have a seal, you could never replace, if it F/U.

word word thanks guys. those things look so massive though, or is that the standard, if he could get good results with a smaller cooker say 8 quarts he'd be fine with not being able to sterilize large amounts of substrate jars at once. hes talking about the classic pf tek, so a smaller one would work no?
