untill there is only death, there will be war. in death is peace, stillness. in life is struggle. untill we can be satisfied with extinction, we will be at war with ourselves and each other. untill we are willing to sacrafice ourselves for peace, we will war with each other for life. in life is selfishness. we give our power to life, it controlls us, we are it. we abide by it. it makes us envy, it makes us greedy. alive, we strive. dead, we sleep. death is resolution.
life is a war. now march to death and be at peace.

untill there is only death, there will be war.
I would disagree. War is there only because we allow it to be. Not that all wars are inherently bad. The Bhagavad Gita, for instance, is based on a war story where an Avatar (Krishna) instructs a commander of an army (Arjuna) to fight the other army, yet to be unattached and completely present.
in life is struggle.
Yes! This is the first noble truth!
untill we can be satisfied with extinction, we will be at war with ourselves and each other.
I'm not too sure what you mean by this, but if you're suggesting that when man faces his mortality, he very often finds peace and can begin to realize his wholeness, then I agree.
we give our power to life
I'm not sure what you mean by this. We are life. There is no difference between us and what you refer to as life, so how can we give our power to ourselves? We've already got it.
we are it
Indeed.
it makes us envy, it makes us greedy.
Again, when you speak of "life", I understand you to refer to what it is that we are. Thus it doesn't make us experience anything. Envy, greed, anger, discontent...unpleasant emotions, they are a part of nature. You would not know joy and bliss and ecstasy and peace were it not for the unpleasant feelings. From Alan Watts:
Quote:
As soon as it becomes clear that "I" cannot possibly escape from the reality of the present, since "I" is nothing other than what I know now, this inner turmoil must stop. No possibility remains but to be aware of pain, fear, boredom, or grief in the same complete way that one is aware of pleasure. The human organism has the most wonderful powers of adaptation to both physical and psychological pain. But these can only come into full play when the pain is not being constantly restimulated by this inner effort to get away from it, to separate the "I" from the feeling. The effort creates a state of tension in which the pain thrives. But when the tension ceases, mind and body begin to absorb the pain as water reacts to a blow or cut.
dead, we sleep.
When I'm dead, I will no longer exist. There won't be any me to be sleeping. I dunno about you though
death is resolution.
What's the problem?
life is a war.
With whom or what?

since we are life, we abide by lifes terms. we hunger, we desire. these things cause envy and greed, even if only in and of ourselves. exmple, eating something, feeling good, desiring more.
death is resolution for the strife of life.

death is resolution for the strife of life.
We also can laugh, love, be happy, be ecstatic, be content, and be compassionate. We live in duality, in yin-yang. Life is only a strife so long as you think of it as one. Embrace and accept the suffering as much as you do the joy. Otherwise you'll be working yourself up into a fuss over the way things simply are, and that's just self-defeating behavior, rather like a snake trying to eat its own tail because it doesn't realize that it's his own tail!

Precisely. Whether or not you wish to believe it or not (by the way, the word "belief" comes from "lief" or to wish for), this is the world of form.
