Black brusing cube ((clearer)pic added)
    #5406272 - 03/15/06 10:17 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

I had a wet cube in a bag for about 4-5 hours and squeezed it to make it blue for fun and it brused greenish and then black. Is something wrong with the shroom or cake. I sure hope not there is a huge shroom on the cake!
Can they bruse black sometimes? B+ strain pf tek

If it's in a plastic bag with and it's a wet shroom, it may just be rot from being in a plastic bag without enough air. Pictures could let us know for sure.

lol.
"kinda big" and "such a small object".......sounds like you're already in the rabbit hole.

if it was in plastic for over 12 hours, it might be starting to rot. dunno if i'd eat that. respect your shrooms next time, man!

If I were you, I'd cut that mighty ball-stem into halves and allow it to dry out. You grow some gnarly-looking cubes, man. If you cut it in half you will probably be able to tell if it's contams/decay or if it's just bruising or some weird coloration.

If all else fails, try the Acorn Cultivation Forum. ;P

That thing looks like a frickin' acorn!
Also, it looks like some of the aborts I've had when I misted a casing too much. Do your shrooms have upturned, sporeless caps and brownish lines running down the stem?

Btw, if it was only 4-5 hours, prolly still good. Best not to manhandle your boomers too much....
