Mycellium Water Question?

If I were to inject pure mycellium water with no visable traces of mycellium into my substrate, would my substrate still colonize?

Or does their need to be traces of mycellium in the syringe?

If there is no mycellium in the water, your working with a very diluted spore water mixture, and it could take quite awhile to colonize. The advantage of a liquid culture is to stretch out your spores and to give a quicker colonization of the substrate. It has the disadvantage of adding a process step and possible contamination point.
