Casing just keeps going...
    #540556 -

I put a casing in the humidity chamber at 97% rh 75F-natural indirect light for many hours a day, and constant air replacement. One week and three days pass and mycelium continues to colonize thoroughly the casing. It is coco fiber. Now, the casing has become 90% colonized and still no sign of pins. Mycelium is ropy and healthy looking.
To what disfunction do I owe lack of primordia formation?

Strain is B+ and one quart jar has already fruited in-vitro.

I get pins at day 11 with B+, so maybe tommorow will be your lucky day. If you get nothing by day 13, open up the chamber and manually fan the hell out of it with a paper plate.

Substrate was incubated at 86F, casings were incubated at the same temperature for three days then transferred to chamber. Initial temperature was 55F which was slowly brought up to 74F after several days.

Yeah that seems normal. You should start seeing pins in a little bit. I just asked the same question actually about my B+.

I actually have the exact same setup as you... B+ on coco, transfered casings in 3 days from incubation to 55F then up to 75F. I think im starting to see pins today though.

On the note of humidity. Before you see pins, and until they reach about a size of a pea, you should have the humidity as high as possible ... 95-100% . Once they reach this size lower it down to about 85%.
