White fuzzy on top of jars...

Well, the cakes (mazatec) were birthed today. Now, there were NO BAD SMELLS at all. I'm using the PF TEk method. I'm guessing this is a good thing. The question I have is this-

When the jars were opened there was some fuzzy white stuff at the top part of the partly dry perilite, I'm assuming this was mycelium. It was really fuzzy though and I've heard about the dreaded cobweb mold.:(

Does the mycelium look fuzzy before it takes over or in its early stages? Should I be worried? Thank you for your time.

you should be all set. my cakes are fuzzy now too. as long as it smells good and doesn't change different colors, you should be fine.

It's even a sign of healthy mycelium as long as it has the same color.
