The pinning phase

How long after putting casings into the terrarium with 100% humidity/ 72 degrees/ 12 hour light/ constant air exchange will you start to see pins? Its been like 5 days I believe and I havent seen anything except knots...(Or so I think what or knots). Anyone have some good pictures of the mycelium converting into pins?

Do the knots start getting a little taller and bigger turn to shrooms? I see little long strong strands of mycelium, possibly pins, but no red heads...just a few that are kinda like little stumps.

In as short as 7 days as long as three weeks. If conditions are proper, this is a strain dependent factor.

Thanks guys for the posts.

Thats what I thought, however I was getting scared that my conditions weren't right or something. My coco was drying out, but I guess I'll just start misting. I never misted, because I thought the 100% humidity would keep them moist enough.

I just applied a little damp coco layer on top to hopefully re-moisen the dried coco beneath w/o damaging any mycelium or pins that would be forming. Is this a good idea?! :/

It is best not too keep adding to the casing, only when necessary, like filling in holes from harvested mushrooms,PATCHING.

Just always keep your casing moist, but not drenched. Mist as needed.
