Injection in the ground

So it's starting to turn spring up here in northern U.S. and I have a syringe with about 1-2cc of spores. It's been stored away for months and I don't plan on using it the "proper" way because it's way too much work for my current situation. If I was to walk out back and just inject some into the ground or whatever, what are the odds that I'll get some mushrooms?

Just throw the syringe away. You'll get the same results!

it depends on the "ground" you are wanting to use. there would be a chance for an outdoor grow, but it wouldn't work if you just put some spores on the ground. you'd want to have some myc, not just spores and you'd want to have some hpoo or something of the sort. *shrugs* there are lots of posts about it.

Ya it wont happen. you need a jar colonized or some food in the ground for the spores. Brown rice flour is easy so,,,, just put some in a jar with verm ad proper moister and micr-wave the bitch and inject it or burry it in the ground then inject it derectly into the soil. I can happen that way or if you want to get real simple use the uncle ben minite rice, Cook it eat some ant the rest burry and inject. It does work! Also watch out for any late freezes!!!!!

you think if he injected them into a compost pile there could be maybe a 5% chance it would work?

They don't. It's just a myth. Albert Hoffman invented mushrooms in 1956. Before that, what were thought to be mushrooms turned out to just be weirdly distorted potatoes.

I agree with roadkill
Though in the new book Mycelium Running he has some very interesting ideas, like 'cold incubation' with cardboard and burlap sacks...
I wont try to go through it here I just now starting to read it and then try to comprehend it........
Anyway NO, but there are ideas out there, though none are inject the ground..........lol

tkae that 1-2cc, make an lc, and start spraying THAT around your yard.
it'll make more sense. not much more, but it will increase the chances that you will get mushrooms.
