Mycoshack modified jar lids 1

Hey..
I just took a look at mycoshack... they do not seem all that bad as some people make them out to be..
I am interested in reusable lids that allow FAE and have injection ports like the following...
http://www.mycoshack.com/products.php (modified jar lids on bottom)
Does anybody know if the entire lid of the one mentioned above is like a synthetic filter disc for FAE....
Are there any other vendors with a similiar lid (with injection port that allows FAE) or anywhere else online that I can compare...
I just bought an All American PC, got rye grains... and I am ready to make some jars! Now I am in the market for some lids...
thanx for help

Just go to the vendor forum. They have a rep that checks it a few times a day.

Those are plastic lids with a hole and micropore tape over the hole for FAE. I usually make my own lids, you can make injection ports with rtv high temp silicone found at auto parts stores, and get some micropore tape found in the band-aid section.

TRUE TRUE TRUE
thanx agar, I will take heed to your advice

Get some blue rubber stoppers from HERE, then buy plastic plastic lids for your jars like THESE and micropore tape. Use a 1/2" spade-type drill bit and drill a hole where you want the injection port to go. The injector port in the link above will fit PERFECTLY into this hole. Drill another smaller hole for the micropore tape and you're DONE and you saved yourself some money!

Yep, if you want to use metal lids it's cheaper to do 'em yourself. We use autoclavable P5 lids rather than the ball brand and they seem to hold up a little better; part of why they cost what they do...

I believe you...np
Agar invented the injection port lid.
He shared it with me... generously sent me injection ports for FREE...before anyone had them. and we have been tinkered around with them...for years now.
I have no problem with you selling it.
I was just giving credit where credit is due...to Agar.
nothing more...nothing LESS!~
