Thanks

Hey everyone. I tripped off an 1/8th for the first time last night. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I feel closer to myself as a person, my friends, and my spiritual side. I just feel so full of life right now, I've been battling a little depression lately and this has really changed things for the better. I wouldn't have been able to do this without the information on this site. So I'd just like to thank you all. This is an awesome community.

Glad you had a great time! Welcome to the Shroomery!

Haha. I'm not quite Christian. In fact I was pretty much an atheist until last night, but I'm rethinking my position on that now.

Follow the path of the great goobler and accept Christ as your lord and savior. You will not regret it.

I'm not quite sure whether you're being serious or not... I tend to back away slowly and carefully from organized religion but to each his/her own.

Right now my Alex Grey calendar is on March and the picture for March is his rendition of Christ.

I approach Christ the way Alex Grey does...as simply our most recent version of an age-old way of understanding the universe.

I hate this jaded young anti-Christ reaction to Christianity, it's pretty lame. Because if you can't take a step back and realize that the story of Jesus Christ is one hell of a tale, with a lot to learn from it - well, I don't know what to tell ya.

Little of both. I don't care what religion you follow, or if you follow none at all. I'm only suggesting that while you have your new view on life you take a look at some of the teachings of people such as Christ. Not necessarily indoctrinate yourself, but as Robot said, learn from the tales.

That's a shame. There's a lot to be learned/observed.

I'm not anti-Christ by any means. I'm sorry if I gave that impression. I guess I just have problems with how many religions are put into practice. I do realize that all the religious sacred writings are really rich texts, but I feel that a lot changes in practice.

It's a shame that people are so jaded by the misrepresentation of religion by organized theological institutions that they end up passing over the central lessons to the tales that are the spine of that religion.
