new growers question (pics)

So here's what I've got. I've made my cakes with brown rice flour and verm as per a growers guide online. I haven't injected the spores in yet. I've got a pic of one of those just to see if people can visually see anything wrong with it. Secondly I have built a terrarium from a 10gal aquarium with a snifter full of spring water with a bubbler for humidity and air exchange. I've also got a 2" lair of perlite at the bottom with a layer of spring water in that... about 1" thick. Does this look like a good setup to you guys? And how should I heat the whole thing? and what is a good temp to keep it at once I put my cakes inside. Thanks

Welcome to the Shroomery bro! Everything looks fine from my side of the CPU. Then only thing I would do is take the wire mesh off of your perlite and just let your cakes sit directly on the perlite.
Here, check this out on how to hydrate your perlite, as well as a shit load of info on perlite: http://www.shroomery.org/index.php/par/7991
"The other method is to put your perlite in a big bowl and add water. You want the perlite to be pretty wet, without having any extra, so fill then pour off the excess. Once the perlite is wet, cover the entire bottom of the grow chamber with a 1.5-2 inch thick layer. With this method, some people like to place thin layers of dry perlite under and on top of the wet perlite layer."
Good luck bro, and keep up the reading and researching.

Your tank and your cake look fine. were yo going to use this as your incubator also? incubation is 82-85. Optimal fruiting is 74-77 but anything 60-77 will work. I just fruit at room temp.

I think you use too much perlite, but other than that it looks good to go.

bad advice, never put your cakes directly on the perlite.

Would this be good as an incubation chamber? I've read up on this wherever I can find and I am confused with what to do after I get my cakes done. After the cakes are all white and fuzzy I should then put them on the wire mesh at around 80degrees with high humidity right? I know I'm stupid, but I'm new... so forgive me lol. I then wait for pins and once I get them drop the temp down? Thanks for you help guys.

You got everything right except you drop the temp after the cakes colonize.
