Wow those are way to blurry to identify anything. read the FAQ about what traits to describe and you might get an answer.

still too blurry for a positive ID.

its some type of agaricus, some of which are poisonous. and that looks like it could well be of the poisonous type, but then again its too rotten to consume anyway. And too old to pinpoint which species of the genus agaricus it is.

what i can tell you for certain is its a dodgy little thing and will make you gravely ill for CERTAIN if you eat it.
just like eating a peice of meat that sat on your lawn in the sun and rain for a few days

How long ago? Some mushroom poisoning you don't even know anything is wrong until your kidneys fail 1-2 weeks later.

Not Cubes.. Take it from me I live in the same stinking county as you..
As for your friend who ate them a month ago.. Dumb Ass comes to mind. He is lucky he is not dead.. Or alive with tubes out of all his openings.

If anyone is to decide to become a Mushroom Hunter for the reasons of consumption they must first truly understand what they are hunting.
Anyone who breaks these rules runs a great risk of leading a agonizing painful shitty way to die or almost die.

And for what?

Anyone who willingly stands by and lets a friend consume UN identified mushrooms is not a friend at all!

Get a better understanding of what you are looking for and take better photos..
Don't bother with any mushroom that is dry or dieing..
Stick with fresh fruits and good photos and post them here..
You will be amassed at what some of the folks here will have to tell you about your finds..
But if you continue on the road of"I Think Its A Cube" you are in for allot of trouble...

campestris would match the territory and appearance, but so would arvensis and xianthoderma.

the later of which is toxic.
