Fuck yes, I am so excited. It's just nice to have a really awesome vacation on the not-too-distant horizon. Flying JetBlue out on the night of Friday the 28th of April and coming back the morning of May the 2nd.
It's gonna be my third time out there and so far the other two have been a great time. It helps being hooked up with a sweet hotel room nearby thanks to my girlfriend's uncle, and even more for getting VIP passes through her brother.
We'll have a huge sack of weed waiting for us, and of course...TOOL and Sigur Ros to see.

I know, I do too...but this was just the better choice for me. My tax refund is coming and it's gonna be for like 500 dollars. Between the flight (250) the ticket (120 or so) and expenses, that should about cover the trip for me...hell man, if it's the week of Bonnaroo and I decide to go...I'll go.

I'm gonna skip on Massive Attack most likely, cause they'll be playing on the final sets in one of the dancier tents and that'll be a big slot for all the tents, I can imagine there'd be some big rock I'd want to check out.
Definitely want to see a little Digable Planets.
The most fun about big festivals, to me, is when about 4 or 5 days before the festival, they release the schedule of set times and you get to sit down and plan what you're going to have to see. It's torturous too though because you have to choose what NOT to see, too.

I know all about that! In 2004, Primus and Ween played at the same time. That just wasn't right!

Jesus...that just seems like a dumb fucking decision on the planners' parts.
My first year of Coachella the set time planning was fantastic but last year I had a couple of tough decisions to make. But on the upside, the two or three times I was let down by a band, I'd leave midway through their set and always manage to find something better to see.

I made a post about it a while back...it's just not a financial, realistic possibility for me. With Coachella I don't have to pay for a hotel room at all, I can get drinks on the cheap, get very hooked up in general. Free breakfast buffet every day at the hotel - best breakfast buffet I've ever had too.
I mean if it's possible I'll still do the Roo but it's not lookin good.

I don't really like that idea of two bands playing at once.. sucks bad if you love both bands!!

yea but if you went to Roo you wouldn't even have to stay at a hotel, you could camp out which is a million times more fun. and we could make it cheap by bringing a cooler of shit with us and maybe a butane grill and cook our own shit. I dunno there are plenty of ways to cheapify the trip.

We are taking a RV and we have VIP passes to Bonnaroo, this year. We decided to kick it up a notch and have a relaxing camp area, instead of tent stake hell. There's a helluva lot to be said for sitting in the a.c, watching a Simpsons dvd, waiting on the next band bender. It's hella_nice!!
