Where to find Chemicals for an Extraction

Mainly, I wanted to know where I could find ethanol, or another type of cheap, strong alcohol that works well for extractions.
Also, does anyone know where I would be able to find diluted HCL, NaOH(lye). or petroleum ether? Im not sure if these products are even readily available(especially the lye)anymore, but if they are, it would be a nice suprise.

Hydrochloric acid is sold as "muratic acid" for use in swimming pools. It's sold by the gallon. Sodium Hydroxide unfortunately no longer has the Red Devil supplier, but it's still very easy to buy it online. Several places sell it in bulk, although you're going to want to get the smallest container you can. Lye doesn't keep for very long unless stored in an airtight container.
Petroleum ether you would need to order from a chemical supplier. It is also referred to as "ligroin" or "benzine" (note the spelling "-ine", not "-ene")

That depends entirely on the kind of extraction you're looking to do. isopropyl will work to make crude extracts, but I can't see it being used to make anything better than that. Especially not since it's soluble in water.

I can not find pool acid at Home Depot anymore and was wondering if there is another source for HCL.

Find a store nearby that sells pool supplies. They will have fairly strong HCl. If questioned about it (which I doubt would occur unless you act blatantly suspicious) just act like you've just gotten a pool and are looking for supplies, but don't really know what you're doing.
Or, you can just order it from a chemical supplier.
I know of one that caters to people who home-school children. They sell small quantities of chemicals at cheap prices, which is ideal for this sort of use anyhow. They carry a 30mL bottle of 12 Molar (Extremely fucking concentrated!!!) Hydrochloric Acid for about $5. They also carry NaOH if I recall correctly... and the best part is it's extremely nonsuspicious if you were to order both of those at the same time.
In chemistry instruction, the reaction between HCl and NaOH is extremely common for use in teaching about acids and bases and neutralization reactions.
The vendor is: http://www.hometrainingtools.com/catalog/cat_chemistry.html
Of course you need to avoid bringing any suspicion upon yourself, so don't ask them any stupid questions. Better yet, don't ask questions at all unless related to payment or delivery. The last thing that's needed is for a decent supplier of chemicals to get spooked and start scrutinizing their customers.

Have any of you used the pH down solution? Its supposed to be Sodium Bisulfate (Sulfuric Acid) so I am assuming that would work just fine. The label says that its 98% pure.
