You know what I'm afraid of?
    #5400368 - 03/14/06 06:23 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

For some reason I'm developing this fear that some government agency is tapping my phones or spying on my connection.

I've been smoking a lot bud lately...frankly, too much. Is this just stoner paranoia or is this kinda thing practical?

Drugs can provoke or amplify this way of thinking, but unless you can prove otherwise, it's anyones guess.

I would say it's unlikely, very. The resources it would take to 'look in' on civilians would be to great and very very costly. Then take the costs and put it toward how much they'd get IF they got you with something.

thats a ridiculous fear, they're an inch long, you can squish them, sure they can
sting and of course it hurts but unless you have a severe alergy to them theres no
need to fear anything that small, if you feared Godzilla I could understand.

When I was younger, I can remember being in the midst of some heavy drug binges. While in them I was often convinced that the cops/fbi/government were following me. Every car or person I saw looked like they worked for the government.
Especially at night, no matter where I was if I saw headlights, I would swear it was from a cop car. I was using some pretty hardcore stuff and lots of it, but it's not that uncommon for people to think this way.

A little quick to judge don't ya think? I think that being afraid of snakes or heights is odd. Could it be that I was stung by an in ground yellow jacket nest as a kid while mowing the lawn and had to go to the hospital? Hmmmm maybe so.

I'm just afraid that any second a cop is going to knock on my door or that someone is going to crash through the window. A weird feeling.

Like they have a feeling that I'm still doing something illegal. I take incredibly safe precautions. I'm just worrying over nothing.

Do you have a lawyer? If not then find one you can call your own. Find out how you should handle yourself in given situations...

Sometimes they'll remind you of your rights and that you have nothing to fear.

I wouldn't stress too much unless you notice solid evidence that you're being watched. Sometimes phones freak out.

As for me, I'm deathly afraid of sea monsters. And I'm going to work on a cruise ship soon. :argh:

You probably have nothing to worry about, but paranoia is healthy in this world. Just don't stress yourself out.

But, I thought that tapping phones these days didn't involve "strange clicking noises" etc. With all the technology these days, they should be able to just tap it directly from the phone company and do it well. Listening for noises sounds more like something out of a 1970's cop drama.

That would be a cool job though,
In general I have somewhat of a sea phobia too, but only when I'm actually out in the middle of it, swimming. I just have no idea what's down under the deep waters.. it also makes me feel kind of vulnerable and helpless... there's so many different sea creatures, who knows what the hell I'm gonna run into lol.
Ever been in the water and had things touch you or rub up against you, yet you have no idea wtf it was?
