Brotherhood of the Wolf - Ultimate Trip Tip!

Holy shit.
I don't know if you've heard of this movie before, but it is absolutely the best trip movie I have ever seen (big words I know, but...).
Over the weekend, I informed my gf that I was going to dose a potent 2gs of shroomies and asked her if she would want to sit me. She agreed and suggested a movie that she thought looked interesting. Ok, so I dose, wait about an hour and a half and we head off to Brotherhood of the Wolf.
Sweet Jesus, that was a fucking insane movie. Right from the opening credits, it was a rollercoaster of insanity. The movie is something of a mix between The Matrix, Crouching Tiger, and Braveheart (with a little Jaws). I cannot reccomend this movie highly enough.
Even sober, I'm sure it would be intense. But trippin' with a little weed... it was an experience. Can anyone else relate?

I saw the previews and I knew that it would be a great trip movie. I have not seen it yet but I definitely plan too with a some friend of mine named Blue Meanie. I can relate because while I do not usually watch movies while journeying in the substantive void, there are some that are entirely worth it. The one that changed my life was Princess Mononoke. It is anime and I don't even like anime and it sounds like a gay title but as soon as it started I was in another world. It is all about nature vs. man and of course that conflict ties directly to mushies. It is the second all time grossing movie in Japan after Titanic and for the english version they used a bunch of famous people for the voice overs like Billy Bob Thornton and Gillian Anderson. I will let you know what I think about Brotherhood.
BTW, Alcoholic is spelled wrong under your name. I know this because I am one too.

Aye!
Let me know what you think of the movie. I'm going to see it again tonight.
It's in very limited release, so if you are planning to see it, I'd hurry. I doubt it'll be around next weekend.

Interesting link between BotW and alcohol..... I watched it on friday, but I was so drunk I can't even remember if it was any good or not:D Same thing goes for Planet of the Apes, and Final Fantasy. Guess who got DVDs for their birthday?

It is a new release from last weekend. However, it's a movie that was made and shown in Europe about a year ago. It was such a big hit in Europe, that they brought it over here to make a buck on the American crowds.

Brotherhood was a bad ass fucking movie, however ether, I'm sorry to have to say that it was not at all a trip movie. I mean that was an awesome movie that I would definitely recomend to anyone, and it was good to see with blue meanie but, it just didn't have the sense of philosophy to it that a really good trip movie should have. To be honest it was really a horror movie with a love story and great action scenes. At the heart of a trip movie there should be a theme like "man vs nature" or "man vs self" or "man vs society" and there was none of that. Great movie though. If you want a really good trip movie try Princess Mononoke or Fantastic Planet. Not only do they have these themes but they have numerous drug refrences which clue you in to the fact that they were being designed as trip movies.

Has anyone seen the previews of the movie "Time Machine"? that looks like it would really bake your cake during a trip, also "The Lord of the Rings" looks like an authentic trip movie to me. As of right now, the best movies i've seen during tripping has been the original fantasia, and wizard of the oz was funny, and weird as hell. Nature videos with animals like on national geographic has really buffed my pickle during trips, i was watching a nature video on penguins...my god i almost died laughing. it was hilarious. i recommend it for those of you love to laugh till you cry, like me.

Brotherhood doesn't have any traditional "trip" themes. However, the direction, sound, and story are very intense. It was a very colorful movie and many of the special effects were eye-popping.
So, it may not be what one would consider to be a true trip flick, it was visually stunning and shockingly original.
