Graphing Calculators
    #5400188 - 03/14/06 05:42 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

I had the TI-83, from a few years back, and just wasn't satisfied. So, I ran out today and bought a new TI-89 Titanium Edition Calculator. All I can say is, wow. What can't this thing do?

The only problem I'm having is figuring out how to perform all the operations.

Anyone else use these?

Not sure about that one.  But I had my own TI-83 in highschool and wow did that thing ever let me cheat

I've still got a TI-83 and I doubt I will ever use all the features it has.

Gotta love calculators that come with a manual as big as most novels :smirk:

Dont let the 89 do all your symbolic integration for you, then you will have no skills at all for the test.

My advice, go commando (no calculator) as much as you can.

You should see my demonstration of that manual's girth. I hold it up right next to my english 101 textbook. The manual is bigger, even though the textbook contains a very vast selection of complete literary works. I tried reading the manual once. I gave up pretty fast. It's just way too intimidating.

I still use the Ti-83 Plus calculator I got early on in high school. I regularly program it to help me remember things. I also tend to write important equations into it so that I can solve problems just by inputting variables.

I still know jack shit about how to actually program the thing in any real sense though. I only know how to use about a half-dozen commands from the programming language. And I don't even fully understand those.
