why did you lock millencollins thread without even explaining yourself? I have laid jars on thier side while steaming and p-cooking. If you keep them out of the water how is it different from them being right side up. Perhaps "advanced" mushroom cultivation is the wrong forum but i still think your being unfair in denying millencollin a chance to have his ? answered. p.s. my thread was locked after my ? was answered and it was obvious There needed to be no more discussion. Anyone else ever lay a jar on it's side? hurry before this thread get's locked.

Uhh dude, i think a moderator has every right to lock a thread like that...

The kid was obviously in the wrong forum, posting a very stupid, VERY STUPID question.

You gotta be the dumbest motherfucker in the world to pressure cook jars laying on their sides. How the fuck exactly do you plan on keeping the water out of the jar?

You gonna put in a 1/4" water level? And you gonna wanna pressure cook that for an hour.... riiiiiight....

For one his post did not belong in Advanced cultivation.
And second, Club99 answered his question.

And not only "How the fuck exactly do you plan on keeping the water out of the jar?", but how do you prevent the water from getting out of the jar when cooking rye or so?

hehe good point elektrolurch... however not everyone pressure cooks the water with the grains in the jar... i pre-cook them and then load up the grains with no additional water
