new job
    #5396629 - 03/13/06 08:56 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

i start tomorrow at 9. its at a landscaping company. they said they are going to start me out helping around in the nursery for a while, until they get a feel for how i work. but one of their workers just lost his drivers license, so they need a new driver to drive the crews around. which will be me, if everything goes well. ill be making 7 dollars an hour to start, which kinda sux but is better than what i was getting at burger king. and besides that, its not burger king! ill be getting 7.50 once they get me driving....

yea for me. it will be nice working outside for a change. getting up in the morning will be rough at first, but im sure i can adjust to working a day job.

FUCK YEH.

good job man. I almost did landscaping last summer, but I got offered a different job first. I hope you have fun. I'm sure it'll beat the hell out of Burger King.. and even if it doesn't, at least you don't have to tell people you work at a fast food joint anymore.

Congrats!

That Nature is not simply the random flight of atoms through electromagnetic fields. Nature is not the empty, despiritualized lumpen matter that we inherit from modern physics. But it is instead a kind of intelligence, a kind of mind."

Excellent! That is great to hear. I love working outside. Being inside, at the restaurant, during good weather absolutely kills me. I have to keep at it, though. If I don't, I can't enjoy the beautiful days, because I am broke and feel like a loser.

I hope you continue to get joy out of your work and for God's sake, stay away from fast food! That shit is for high schoolers and Skunk70359 types. You are better than that(Not saying anything bad about Skunk). Cheers and have a nice day.

I did landscaping for a while, it was the hardest work I've ever done, next to standing up frames for a house in the wind.
