If you have an electric stove, you don't need any cloth to wrap the bags. Sometimes, a gas stove will curl the flame around the bottom and heat the sides up enough to melt the bags. An electric stove won't have this problem. Be sure to use the shelf on the bottom of the PC to keep the bags off the very hot bottom.

Never seal bags prior to PC'ing. Personally, I'd recommend jars.

If your pc got warped or otherwise damaged, toss it out. I wouldn't risk having it come apart under pressure.

I agree with Roger. If you can tell the PC is disfigured you might as well heat up a bomb on your stove.

There are newer models of mycobags that can actually be sealed prior to PC'ing. I know themadseason has some and I'm sure a few other vendors do also. You don't want the substrates moisture very high at all when you're using bags. You want it wet, but fluffy. Make sure you are measuring everything that you're putting in the bags, so that when you find the right mix, you'll remember exactly how you did it.
