You're about to have a shitpot full of spores everywhere. You can wrap a small piece of wax paper around the fruit to catch the spores without picking it. Change the wax paper every day as it gets saturated with brown/red spores. A fruit like yours will drop spores for three weeks or more before it stops.

You ever notice how the top gets coated in rusty brown spores a cm thick. So so many spores. I thought i saw somewhere that the spores themselves contain medicinal properties. The mount of spores they produce is so great that it might be something to look further into and maybe put into action....
