Need ID help

Hey there.
I just got back from my first hunt here in BC.
One of the ones that I found was very small, growing out of a mulch-like(dead) wood, in a forest (another was right next to it, gorowing out of the dirt). It's gills are varying lengths and are the same color as the mushroom (a light brown), it has a very thin stem (also light brown) with no ring, I'm pretty sure the stem is hollow, It does not have a clavate base (It was growing out of that white stuff. It's called mycelium, right?). Also, it has a nicely rounded cap, if that helps any. The forest I found it in was mostly pine. The mushrooms weren't growing immidiatly near any trees. Also, the mushroom doesn't really have a smell, but it makes my nose tingle.
I've pinched the stem rather hard... How long does it take bruising to appear (if it ever will. Heh)?
I've taken pictures with my phone, since my camera is still in the US. Once I figure out how to get my pictures onto my computer I'll post them. They'll be slightly blurry, but it's the best I can do.
I'll tell you what color the spore print is in a bit. Well, once there is a spre print. Heh.

Well, here's one picture, but it came out incredably blurry. At least you get an idea of the size, color, and porportion.

I see no bruising, and the spore color is a coffee white.

The appearance and habitat suggest Mycena or Marasmius (or one of the very similar genera near those). The base of the stem looks like it might be slightly enlarged compared to the stem so that the mushroom is attached with a tiny disk - this is a useful identification feature to note for Mycenas. If we go with Mycena, try cutting or breaking the stem to see if a fluid oozes out and what color the fluid is.
Bruising reactions can take up to an hour.
With tiny mushrooms determining the odor can be difficult. The best way I've seen is to get a bunch of them, cup them in your hands, and try sniffing the group.
Happy mushrooming!

When I had cut it before, I don't recall any fluid.
As for bruising, still nothing. In fact, the mushrooms are completly dried now, haha.
Thanks a lot, ToxicMan
