yes but do you realise, whether we manufacture the most cars or not, the final product in most areas of technology is distributed the most by the U.S.? In so many cases, brand new technological advancements are in fact made by the U.S. first. Whether we stole it from someone else or not.

Then again, that's not always true, maybe it was in terms of space travel, the first real distributed computer, the first car. Now often times though someone else comes out with something first, then we rip it off and end up distributing it to the world. Of course this isn't always the case either. Such a general statement, there are millions of patents, how can such a statement be generalised to all patents created?

The USA is starting to fall behind... so don't get cocky. In terms of education quality, the US is ranked below 30 worldwide or something like that.
