Nietzsche Quote

?Gradually it has become clear to me what every great philosophy so far has been: namely, the personal confession of its author and a kind of involuntary and unconscious memoir; also that the moral (or immoral) intentions in every philosophy constituted the real germ of life from which the whole plant had grown.? --Friedrich Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil

I like the context in which he said that.

"Our eye finds it more comfortable to respond to a given stimulus by reproducing once more an image that it has produced many times before, instead of registering what is different and new in an impression...Even in the midst of the strangest experiences we still do the same: we make up the major part of the experience and can scarcely be forced not to comtemplate some event as its "inventors." All this means: basically and from time immemorial we are - accustomed to lying. Or to put it more virtuously and hypocritically, in short, more pleasntly: one is much more of an artist than one knows."

thats the thing about being here now, u gain all that knowledge from experiencing everything before that u actually start to create the experience purely from preconcieved notions and memory, being here now u keep those memories to do all the grunt work but u still process the relevant bits of the actual moment that is here , now.

i was reading zarathustra in tibet (nietzsche and buddhism, very similar!) and was underlining my favorite bits, in the end i chopped them out of the book and tucked them inside a little compartment attached to my prayer beads (for mantra) which is around my neck at this very moment! anyways here they are:

"no longer to thrust ones head into the sand of celestial things, but to carry it freely! a terrestrial head, which giveth meaning to the earth!"

"and what ye have called the world shall but be created by you; your reason, your likeness, your will, your love, shall it itself become! and verily, for your bliss "

"value is creating; hear it, ye creating ones! value itself is the treasure and jewel of the valued things"

"since humanity came into being, man hath enjoyed himself too little; that alone, my brethren, is our origional sin!"

Wow, this is true

It's just like shroomery. Every philosophy here is just an expression of posters fears, wishes, pains, life...

Every philosopher here is the culmination of all of their experience of reality, the form they presently hold as reality, this present moment being a complete, constant transformation. The thought of such is empowering, beneficial, and reflective of reality. :mushroom2:
