Language Dissolved

I don't know if this is common with any of you, but at high shroom doses, like 5 grams dried, language just totally dissolves. I do not understand words, and written words look like alien symbols. Has anyone experienced this?

Yes happens to me all the time on harder trips.
It has tought me that language is merely an approximation of the actual experience of living. Some people are better at approximating this than others.

Hmmm, nice interpretation. If you notice it too, psychedelic people tend to have better "approximations".

yea your right, psychedelic people do tend to have better approximations
the language thing happens to me on both acid and shrooms if i take a decent dose
sometimes i even forget how to speak and just communicate by tuning into the other person...you dont even need words that way its wierd

pretty common for me on higher dose trips. Language just ceases to have any meaning.
Its like, I hear the words - but I dont even recgonize them as words to even begin to attach meaning to them.
I hear them fall on my ears, but it midswell just be a note from a piano, or a cats meow - there is nothing there that makes me go "oh, thats a word, and threes meaning to it, and I should understand it" - its just noise.
a phase a few people have heard me say before : "Stop speaking, I cant understand english" as I burry my head into my hands and let a world of endless possabilities unfold before me - language just seems like such an annoying constraint.

it happens to the best of us you end up not being able to communicate for 3 or more hours but i find its always well worth it
yesterday i tripped pretty damn good on a 3.6 gram dry dose and i couldnt speak let alone see straight it was a strange trip for such a small dose

I never viewed it as a bad thing - it's always been a sign of a good trip for me

Of course it isn't bad.
I see it as a break of our (imagined?) reality that society has conditioned us in.

Interesting.
Language does seem to "disolve" as you pu it,at higher doses. This is why I like to be by mylsef at higher dose mushroom trips.
Allot of times,I cant read clocks at high dose trips. They just dont seem to make any sense. The letters are backwards/upside down. Its almost like im dislexic. This makes perfect sense though, considering time is a complete fabrication which we all base our lives on.
No being able to communicate verbaly on mushrooms isnt a bad thing though.Just a sign that you are at a higher level of consciousnes that cant be axplauned wih words,.

True, but even at lower doses this can happen; language is still usable, but viewing the language from a different perspective becomes possible, like looking at your native language as if it were foreign (that alway trips me out). At high doses, the perspective shift is more dramatic and ones ceases to be able to perceive patterned changes in color as symbols.
