spray spores
    #538997 - 02/03/02 01:45 AM (21 years, 7 months ago)

Is it possible to get spores and plant them outside with just a syringe and spraying them in fertile areas where they like it. Like in Fla to take cube spores and spray around places that cows live. Or in Seattle in mulched beds. It is just sometimes when I found some they grew in straight lines not clumped together it was as though someone just came with a syringe of spores and sprayed lines on fertile ground and they grew. Has anyone ever tried it? would it work? and if it would when would be the best time of year to do it?

It could potentially work, however you would have much greater success if you planted mycelium instead...much beeter chance of producing....cheers.

Do'nt know how true this is but I've heard of people rubbing spore prints on a cut apple and feeding it to cows/horses.End result was a field full of shrooms.

Hello,

The sliced apple idea most likely originated from the Shroom Wizard.

1 Slice an apple in half
2 Spore print both halfs of the apple with large Cubensis caps
3 Feed the printed apple halfs to the cows
4 Come back in a month & pick a sh*tload of shrooms.

Yes - it works, in florida.

No syringes needed.

Cubes have been living in florida for hundreds if not thousands of years.

The spores are already here,
the shrooms are here,
the cows and grass the shrooms and spores =)

Wow has anybody else done this? inoculated feilds? how many syringes do you need. Does the field keep on producing or do you have to re inoculate? This would be perfect for me since i live in the middle of 3 different cow fields.

I've done this in the carolinas , I used 3 syringes and injected on all the terds under trees and in taller grass . They were everywhere . I would go with a strain that would flurish in the envioroment . You dont have to worry about contamination , only other myclium . I'd bet that honey water would work better.
