Tomorrow I'm making up an LC and in one of the teks I'm reading up on it says to let the mixture cool overnight.
If I were to do this in the morning, would it be okay to inoclulate this by the end of the day, say late evening (5-9 pm)?

When we say to let something cool overnight, the word 'overnight' is used in a generic sense to mean 'fully'. Your grains or culture medium cares little whether the sun or moon is shining outside, but your spores are going to perform poorly if you scrape them into very hot liquid. RR

i think 106F is the death point for spores. I put mine in front of a hepa blower to cool them faster

I pced myn for 25 minutes wich was to much but it still worked. Then I let it cool for 45-70 mins then I ran luke warm water over it even though I still couldnt tuch the jar with bare hands then I lowerd and lowerd slowly the temp of the water. Then when It was about 70 degrees in the jar I inoculated with a chunk of a brf cake and then 5 days later inoculated 7 grain jars that are now 100% colonized with 0 contams!

no! stick to doing it overNIGHT! Daytime will actually REVERSE the process, and your jars will get so hot they'll explode. If you think a meth explosion is bad, you just wait n see an LC jar cool down the wrong way!

well im not saying to take the jars right out and put them in cold water... but after tehy have tooled enough to be handled putting them in the fridge or freezer won't explode them. i assure you.

I'd imagine LC cools alot quicker than WBS and BRF/Verm, it would seem much easier for the heat to disperse...
I highly doubt it would take "overnight" to cool a small batch of liquid culture...
