I don't do PF cakes. So, I know nada about storing them.
Wbs jars. Wrap in A/foil (holds out light) Place in big baggy, in fridge.
I would guess, the same holds for PF jars.

what temperature is best to store spawned jars in the fridge?
stamets says 38 in TMC on pg 124
that sounds too cold, too close to freezing... plus i got syringes in my frige too so to be safe (dont want them to freeze)
its at 45 degrees right now
My knowledge of shroom growing has me feeling that 38 degrees will halt any spawn growth but 45 degrees will allow for minimum growth that will not make a difference cause I wont keep it in the frige longer then 2-4 weeks
can somebody confirm this with their experiences???

i've stored cakes and wbs in the fridge at about 40F for 2 months w/ tyvek lids on them; however they did dry out a bunch. when you go to use them after awhile give them an extra long dunk.
3 month old pf cake, almost no aborts and much better results than the other cakes of that same batch, which i fruited normally

45?
do some research on the "danger zone"
all fridges should be below 40 degrees. stamets knows what he is talking about.

hey hong kong how did you store your jars... just wrapped in alum or alum with a zip lock bag
I am planning on using a zip lock bag and alum, and probably for 2 weeks at the most
monstermitch... I agree I should bring down my temp in the frige and that stamets knows what hes talking about.
but.. each cultivator had to learn to adapt their own tek... what is best for stamets is not always best for everybody else and TMC was published the year after I was born lol
