ok, i've had an 1/8 of shrooms in a air-tight container for the past 3 months tops, my question is if it's alright for shrooms that old to make into tea because i don't want to get sick of them being overly-modly. Thanks for you time guys.. have fun on the blue bus.

As Roadkill hinted, you should be perfectly fine considering the shrooms are well dried. WIth proper drying, there should be no mold.
I used to hide dried shrooms in my cloest. One day while cleaning in there a few months later i found two small dried caps. I made tea with them had a pretty decent trip.

they aren't moldy unless you can actually see mold on them

(edit) sorry to be confusing, when i meant you can see mold on them i assumed you would break them open

Mold and bacterial rot can also hide INSIDE the fruitbody. If they were dried properly you should be fine. Depending on the drying and storage technique, they might be a little bit to a whole lot less potent.
