The Racoon uses one & swears by it. If your getting heavy contam's. A hepa filter helps - loads. Check the thrift shops, GoodWill, Salvation Army & the like. You can often find small hepa filters there - for cheap. You might have to buy a new filter for it, but thats cheaper than the whole thing - new. SixTango - out

My monkey swears by the HEPA filter to get rid of contams. He swears by his particle ionizer and alcohol lamp too. The only thing I have seen the FMRC is good for, run by Stephen Peele (god bless his soul), is the $40 ionizer they offer. Anyone else had experience with it?

you are absolutely right, thats what kinbd i think it is, holmes. but who cares.. brand names mean nothingf to me I see NO purpose whatsoever in simply running a hepa in the room. it may cut odwn on a few, and the ioinizer kills bacteria, but i cant see it keeping the room that clean, depending on size. although, i shouldnt say that, as mine runs 24/7, but in the flowhood, so in essence, it is fairly clean. adn the room has better air than the rest of the place... so youre probally right.
