I've read that when you colonize a bulk substrate like hpoo and straw, heat is given off. I was wondering about how much heat are we talking about? Say for a tub filled 16x8x4?

crazy. Cause i have 2 tubs this size inside my TiT and they seem to raise the temp inside the tub a good bit. Its a real tight fit so i think its almost like the heat is making it its own incubator.

Drop your heat to the 72/74F range. Also, don't crowd, stack or set large incubating h/poo trays on solid surfaces. Place a spacer under the trays, so air can circulate 360 degrees around them. So, internal heat they generate can dissipate more evenly.

would this apply, the tempature change , even to small casing used with poo?
i mean when spawning some brf/verm into poo - when you wrap it and incubate it - do you need to have a temp at 72? i was gonna keep at 80-86 if possible.

I don't know what you consider SMALL.
But, a single shoe box sized h/poo sub, 3.5 inches deep will heat up.
