Casing Thai Super, Help!
    #5385596 - 03/10/06 01:24 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

Hello everyone I am on my second attempt at growing, The first were brf cakes, those turned out fine. I am now attempting casing with brf cakes using the 50/50+ Tek. I was expecting a much higher yeild and I feel I am doing something wrong. Growth is not constant through the casing. Final yields are small compared to the number of cakes and substrate depth( 4-5 inches). After each flush I lay moist (squeeze out excess water) 50/50+ mix on spots that have been picked.

Below are pictures of my second flush. Any increasing yield advice or feedback would be GREATLY appreciated. These forums have been very helpful so far. Thanks guys!

(the other side of the casing, most of the first flush was here)

Well subsequent flushes and pinset are dependent on the first, so unfortunately you're stuck with you undesirable pinset. Next time make sure you follow hyphae's pinning strategy as closely as possible to help maximize pinset and yield.
