Coming back to reality
    #5384057 - 03/10/06 01:27 AM (17 years, 10 months ago)

I dont know really why im creating this post at the moment, it really seems so pointless and artificial, but i need to communicate. Just took a very high dose of shrooms. Wow........

Ingestion was at about 12:30. Its now 3:15 and im coming to sense with reality or at least reality in the commonly accepted sense. Ehh.. I tripped here by myself in the casa, had a long conversation with my dog. Ever notice the incredible non verbal communication that goes on between you and your dog while your on a hollucinogen? I can have better conversation with my dog at the moment than i ever could verbaly with any person, know what i mean?

Um. sorry if my sentences are twisted up. I feel like every idea im writing down is somehow twisting and tangling with all other ideas in a meaningless chaotic attempt at communicating. Damn language....

Im going to pull out Mary Jane now, i believe we have a date.  :smirk:

sounds like a fun night. If i had a dog, i would love to trip out with it.sometimes communicating with dogs is way more fun than talking with our own species

Man I remember me and my buddy were on some 2-ci at his house, and he starts looking at the floor and tells me that the floor is swirling around. His dog comes from all the way across the room, while staring at that spot on the floor (never even looks at my friend) and then looks up at him like "what's with the floor?" Had us laughing for a while.

2c-i is wonderful.  If you think the floor is entertaining, try shining a light at a shallow angle across a textured wall... now that's entertainment... I watched the wall for 20-30 minutes once.  As a matter of fact, that was the same trip in which I took my avatar picture.
[edit]
haha, I , too, had the opportunity to look at a persian run on 17mg of 2ci... it was purrrrrrdy coooooool...hehe

Its even beter when you give the dog shrooms, trust me I know. '
I fed my friends dog like an eighth one night, I was chilling right at a quarter ounce dose myself.
Turk(the dog) had the biggest grin on his face. He would run and hide in the dark, then he would dash out and lick me. Next he would jump on the couch springing mightily into the air, three sixty and run back in the darkness to start the whole process over. Fun times. He was a brendal pit, he was cool. He watched baraka with me, just chiloing right next to me. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen, he was so happy. I later tried to talk my friend in helping me kidnapp him, I was only considering it because his owner was a fuckwad, punching the Turk in the head while he was tripping face. Boo hoos. He eventually gave the dog to his sister so it was cool.

pyeace.

Man, Turk didn't have to eat the shrooms. He smelled them and then gobbled them down. I didn't hold his mouth open and pour a shroom sludge down his throat.

What the fuck?

Feeding a dog some shrooms isn't the same thing at all to drugging a person unknowingly, how can you even relate the two?

Are you daft?

depends on what you were wearing.

There's plenty of things that we CHOOSE to put in to our bodies, that I would never put in front of my dog and let her eat. They are domesticated animals for a REASON. They don't know what is safe and what is not. For you to do that is extremely irresponsible.

dogs die all the time from eating things they should not.

I have a dog, do you?

She will eat anything that I put in front of her, because she TRUSTS me, and knows that humans are her source of food. Do you think the dog that you did this to knew "I'm about to ingest hallucinogenic mushrooms". No, it DIDN'T. It had no idea.

yeah, place a some rancid meat in front of your dogs, see how quick they turn their noses up at it. Turk smelled the food, he deemed it safe and it was. I fed him some shrooms, he started tripping, he came back for more.

Dogs, bears, deer and all kinds of other animals eat shrooms and shit in the wild. It happens all the time.

The reason you don't dose people without telling them is because the nature of the human mind. You dose a person and the mood is wrong and you can fuck them up. When all the bad things they have ever done, or all the regrets or all the hate comes bubbling to the surface in the middle of a mind throw.

Are you trying to tell me dogs have the same capacity for introspection and thought as humans? That dog was having a purely physical trip, there was no inner demons wailing on the surface of his mind, screaming for release. Just straight up visuals and auditory thrills.
Please this is childish and you obviously haven't given any thought to the nature of humans and the tripping experience relative to the human mind.

The dog was in a safe and friendly environment around people it was quite comfortable with. It was fully mature dog, no damage to a still forming brain was an issue.

To answer your question, no i don't have a dog. Have I had dogs before? Certainly, whats your fucking point?

Quit being a superficial, oh I am a responsible tripper without having ever really thought about tripping little kid. Sometimes you have to delve a little deeper, you know below the surface. Then you can make decisions instead of being a little vomit monster, spewing forth a bunch of shit you regurgitate and then purge in the name of intelligence or responsibility.

Meh.. I personally wouldnt give my dogs shrooms, I wouldnt be able to live with myself if they bad tripped or something and bit me, or died, etc. But.... I do get my dog high on occasion to occasion. She enjoys it immensly. Whenever im smoking my bowl and she is around she willingly comes over and lays her upper body on my lap in order to steal a hit from me  If im ethically outlawed for my actions, so let it be but me and my princess still dont agree, trust me I KNOW, we have a way of communicating.

I still couldnt imagine my dog tripping though, too much pressure.

You speak as though you know what was going through the dogs head. You say that the dog was in a safe and friendly environment, yet in one of your other posts, you state that his owner was pinching him, and you tried to talk a friend in to helping you "kidnap" him.

What's childish is you thinking it is ok to provide an animal with a halucinogenic drug, and then throw around a bunch of big, smart sounding words in a post to try and justify it.

The bottom line is, you should not dose anything that does not know it is being dosed. That dog did not make a decision to trip. You fed her an eight of mushrooms, which is a fairly good dose by HUMAN standards, and observed her bouncing around, and figured she was having a grand old time. I don't know what gives you the impression that I am "young" or a little kid, but I'm neither. I'm simply responsible, and find it awful that you would do this to an animal.

Do you so suck at raising your dog that you don't know if its is happy or sad by its body language?

Yeah the owner punched him in the head one time, it was an isolated incident and totally uncool, hence the plot to steal him.

Whatever, you don't think dogs should trip, there is a simple solution, don't feed your dogs drugs. I will however give my dogs and agreeable friends dogs shrooms in the future.

The bottom line is your are without the ability to truly perceive, and completely satisfied with bottom lines. You make no argument to the rights and wrongs, you make no points to the reasons why it shouldn't be so. You simply state it as a bottom line, because you deem it so. I say it is so, it must be.

I am convinced, liz says it is so.

Yes sometimes I choose to elucidate my thoughts with "big" words. The purpose being to provide you with as much information as possible in a fashion that is well articulated and accurate. Words are the only way I know how to do that. Sometimes large words convey the sentiment in a much more efficient fashion. Hate me for it if you want.

Like I said earlier, sometimes you have to proceed just a little deeper. I grab my shovel and make new bottom lines, then ever newer ones still. The dog was in no danger, I fed him an eighth of shrooms over a couple hours, plus he was a huge fucking dog, prolly weighing 130 lbs. Lab pit mix.

I wouldn't feed my dog or any other dog shrooms, but that is my choice.  I don't feel it my place to judge other people on their decisions.  The dog could have been having a great trip, horrible trip, or no trip at all, we don't know.  Shoving your beliefs in others faces dosen't make your's any more right and their's any more wrong.  I believe this is a totally personal choice, and given the info at hand, doesen't present a "right" or "wrong" choice.  Each to their own I guess.

I wonder if it's at all possible to get this thread...

Well I'll try my best.

I once had a 45 minute conversation with my guinea pig. yes, a rodent. it was one of the single coolest experiences I had with her, ever. we're all players in this game and sometimes those selfless beasts are more "human" and genuine than us.
