Ah. Im glad a few people are recommending SNES games. It is the best system ever. The RPGs on SNES will never be matched, because now so much work is put into the graphics that it diminishes the story line. Id recommend a faster paced SNES RPG like Magic Knight Ray Earth. Something thats pretty easy too.
The only non RPG ive played tripping was megaman. I can play it for hours. Great, solid game.

damn straight
SNES rpgs are so much fun 
hrmm, i'd recommend this one called 'EARTHBOUND'
its a light-hearted rpg set in modern times, it has alot of psychedlic innuendo, too
like you can be infected by walking mushrooms and then your controls get reversed for awhile, heh
the battle screen backgrounds and music are really trippy, too
you travel all over earth and use psychic powers to battle an evil force from outerspace, etc.
really cool
also check out 'Illusion of Gaia'

The best game EVER to play with friends while drunk or stoned or tripping or anything is super smash brothers. 4 people death match is just insanity. When I play with friends sober I nearly piss my pants I'm laughing so hard. All the animations are just fucking hilarious.

I presume it was because they tried bringing contra back a few years ago.... and it sucked. Keep your eyes out for State of Emergency, though, that looks fucking awesome.

yeah they made a (shudder) 3d version and sucked hardcore ass.
I wish I had stayed into programming so I could have been working on a 4 player game of sorts.

An arcade tripping! Now that would be interesting! Not sure what your stepping on, the rooms all dark and a bunch of kids smoking crack in the corners. It would be like a scene from Star Trek!

GTA3 is the fucking shit! Metal Gear Solid 2 is also quite dank. Somebody said something about you feeling like you're really Solid Snake and that they screamed when they got shot. The first time i played it i did that too. For n64 Starfox is a good trip game. Goldeneye is a must. Super Smash Bothers is an awesome game for n64, one of my favorites, really fun for trippin too. Also, Bomberman is great game for trippin, it's easy to figure out but hard to master... the multiplayer is a blast. hope i helped

GTA3 is really something else, Halo for xbox is really good, and the best game stuntman is coming soon only on xbox as well..
As for computer games Half life counterstrike is the shit when playing multi player, along with rogue spear and ghostr econ.

GTA3 is THE best game ever. so much content it is almost an endlessly fun game. there were games called Rez and Frequency out for PS2 that had you doing visual stuff with music but i heard they both kinda sucked. but now with these out, they will make better ones. Virtua Fighter 4, and yes i must say Goldeneye, classic.

Dude, Roadrash 64 is the best game!
Nothings better after a hard day then comming home and beating the hell out of cops and opponents on motorcycles (no offence to cops out their ; ^).

i'm not sure but i think they make Gundam Force for n64, it's one of my favortie games on acid or mushrooms.
