Hey me and my friend planted some bagseed earlier than normal in early febuary (its always the right temperature here) the plants are doing fine at around 6" light green with purple stems and white hairs comming out of the top one has what appears to be seed nodes the only one that looks like that, some of them have tiny leaves where the stems meet and there growing outside in soil. We were just wondering what stage in development these plants are how the equinox will effect them and how to tell what sex they are if you can at this stage. (no more overgrow so...)

if they have "balls" they are males and if they are growing leaves from where the stem splits that means it is the onset of flowering.. the "balls" usually grown on tips or under leaves. males will not produce buds.

The easiest way to indentify males and females, i've found, is to find all the one's with hairs first. Those are your females, make sure they get the best light, cause those will be keepers. Next, find any that almost look like a flower, but with no hair. Instead they will have a sorta shealth around one side. It's quite small at this stage, so you'll need a good pair of eyes, or a magnifying glass if you can't see all that well up close. Good luck!
Just be sure not to prematurely cut or get rid of a female because it has no hair. It'll take at least 2 full weeks into flower for a male to give off any kind of pollen, and none will come out during veg, so you can afford to be patient for a bit.

you say you grow them outside....what kind of soil are you using, what kind of nutes? I would search for a thread, but this is much more convenient (for me).
