Saw II

Anyone see this? I never watched the first one, but for whatever reason (I think the plot interested me because I have similar dreams from time to time) I rented the second one last night. I thought it was absolutely disgusting but had a very good moral to it. If it wasn't for the blood and violence (sarcasm) it would have been a great movie. I made the mistake of smoking a bowl before House of 1,000 Corpses, so I knew better than to smoke before this.
So I would suggest smoking after the movie, and then watching Flirting with Disaster or other comedy to transition into a better mindset before sleep.

Cool. Now I'm going to rent that one. Any reason in particular?

Never saw Saw, but Saw 2 was okay. Nothing special.

Better ending, in my opinion. More suspense, and scarier.

In my opinion, the original Saw was better, but the acting really sucked.

Really? Freaked me out good. I was all tense and sweaty while watching it, but after watching the features I settled down. After the first scene, my wife almost made me turn it off

Heh... I couldn't stand the ENDING ending... like when they reveal the 'hiding place' of the bad guy... it was so fucking stupid I wanted to stab myself in the throat. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it... but god damn.

Heh... well, to each their own. I just thought it was trying WAY too hard to be "OH MY GOD THIS IS THE COOLEST PLOT TWIST EVER OMG OMG" style.

Saw 2 was originaly a movie a guy came up with a few years earlier. Then when Saw 1 came out the studio had the guy change his script to be a sequel to Saw 1. So they are really entirely different movies and scripts as they were done indepedently, although Im sure they came out pretty similar in the end. Ive heard the director in the first one was better, but the script was better in the second. I havent seen either so I cant really comment.

yeah, the 2nd one happens fairly independently until the end, where it gets tied to the first..they both had their moments, and both were fucking twisted.
