Existence is required for time and space. We can never directly examine existence, but only infer it due to our logical capabilities.

But we can never really examine time and space, either. They are both abstract, and all we see is the effect of time or the occupation of space, never time or space itself.

Yet time and space are required for the organic self to function, and the organic self is required for consciousness.

We can never examine the organic self directly, only perceive it through our layer of consciousness, yet we know (or at least think) it's there because it's required for our layer of consciousness to be sustained.

So in all actuality, are we just consciousness examining itself? We can only perceive our own perceptual reality and consciousness, never anything that's required a priori. In fact, the vast majority of anything we say exists, including existence itself, is an inference.

Which is why I would wager we will never understand time, space or, most importantly, existence itself. All of them are rather illogical if you start from nothing, going from the bottom up, but if you start from your consciousness and go down, then they're not only logical, they're required.

It can't be negiotated, either, because existence cannot be explained by any philosophy or idea, as Gorgias realized when putting forth his arguments over 2000 years ago.

Maybe first of all, before going deep in understanding time and space, we have to really be aware of other "realities", which are as same as viable as ours, only they're not applied to us. By making an exercise of how it would affect our lives the non-existence of time. It's kind of reductionist, but it's a start. And what applies here, it might be a non-sense in this big Universe.
The greatest problem id that we are in a way restricted to in seeing other forms of manifestation of space.

All this time I've loved you
And never known your face
All this time I've missed you
And searched this human race
Here is true peace
Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul
Bathed in your sighs
