Honey water

I cant find anything on how long honey water will stay viable. I have some that's been in the jar about 10 days. Can I still use it. It's a nice big fluffy cloud in there. Its been at room temp by the way. (75F) Thanks

I don't normally bump this soon but I was gonna use some of this honey water tonight. Can someone please give me a quick answer and let me know if you think its still alright. I would hate to waste the seed. Otherwise I'll just make up some more solution. Thanks

Your liquid culture should be just fine. 10 days at room temp isnt that long. If you dont use all of the culture you can also wrap your jars in tinfoil and store them in the fridge for a couple months without any problems. Keep in mind though that once you open that jar, you run a risk of intruducing a contaminant which could show up in later use.

Hey bass player! I love the honey tek. According to Gottlieb, the mycelium is at it's peak of potency and yield 4 days after the sugar runs out. This can be tested by a saccharimeter availible at your local wine and beer brewing store. After the 4 days, it starts to degenerate. If you are making syringes, make sure you get the mycelium while there is plenty of sugar in there. I would say they last about 2 weeks tops especially if you have an aggressive strain.
If you are harvesting for mycelium, then harvest a bit after the sugar runs out. It is a very non-intrusive way to get lots of psilocybin without lots of incriminating carpophores laying around.
