haha, I guess im a little late, but i was going to suggest giving it some shoties, calm it down a bit, maybe it would just go with it instead of freaken out and running all over the place. but then again, maybe i was having a great time, it ate them before right? so im assuming it must have liked em if it went back for more. Oh ya, and tests have been done on rats where they needed more than an equivalent bodies weight of dried shrooms to over dose

My cat has been known to sample my fruits from time to time. It seems kinda picky though. I can go through five harvests before he finds one he wants to try. He acts more mellow though. Just sits by me and watches the walls or just stares at me for hours.

Cats kick ass. My cat just sniffs the baggy and starts bugging out, running all over the place like she's insane.
I think they get high off the scent alone. I know it works that way with catnip... they don't have to actually eat it to bug out, just smell it.
I bet cats have some inherent experience with psychedelics through their blood line. They seem to be more aware than dogs, anyway.

how come I ended up with the dumb cat that would eat anything to the point where it literally could no longer fit in a litter box. We had to buy one of those big plastic boxes used to hold bed sheets, it was an easy 4x3ft and it STILL managed to crap over the side and then tried to bury it by clawing at the side of the box... Same cat that insisted on running down the stairs even though every time it did its weight would throw it off sending it ass over head... I have very little reason to think of these creatures as being particularily intelligent... just independant...

Same thing could be said of humans. There's always a variant. You have a stupid cat. Doesn't mean all cats are stupid.

Personally I don't think too highly of our intelligence either, but yes, you do make a good point, of course that was not the only cat I've had, we lost the first two to some form of cancer or something along those lines (I was pretty young at the time and don't remember) the stories I've heard about them though don't really suggest that much was going on up there, lost another one that we had purchased from a store that's got a pretty bad reputation, when we bought it it was covered in its own (and other cat's) feces and was already sick, we tried to help it but it eventually died, it wasn't really healthy enough to make any judgement on its intelligence. One that we had fell asleep infront of a parked car and for some reason didn't wake up when the engine started, and another one killed itself by eating a shard of broken glass it found on the street... Not saying all cats are stupid, just saying I have yet to meet a smart one

Curiousity killed the cat.
My cat is pretty smart, in a purely instinctual way. There's a big difference between "street smarts" and "book smarts" though... they don't seem to have much going on in the book smarts department.

He'd be like, "Wooooah man, I am driving better than I ever have before!" and then a big stupid debate would erupt on a messageboard about whether or not acid enhances "some people's" ability to drive...
(Sorry, I'm apparently quite bored.)

much as I dislike cats now, I'd have to agree... It would be funny if someone slipped him a thumbprint while he was asleep and didn't tell him

Yeah intelligence and personallity really do vary from cat to cat. I've had downright stupid cats (boots) and insanely intelligent cats (binx). I've had over 25 cats in my life time, and they're like humans. Some you build a relationship with, some stay to themselves. I had one that used to have a sense of humor and play tricks, as well as put stuff on itself (like a piece of tape on its chin) and look at its reflection in different poses. Don't underestimate the eccentricness of the cat, just because you may have had a couple personallityless/retarded ones.

No it will not die.I my cat once ate a small amount of shrooms and it was funny as hell, and also kind of sad, because I could tell she was scared. After trying to catch everything she was seeing she kind of backed herself into a corner and just stared out into the living room for like 2 hours.
