Two credit cards done & no longer active as of today. Each company asked what they could do to keep our business, but after raising our APRs drastically we told both of them we are so upset at their practices that they have lost our accounts for good. They have no loyalty to us, we have no loyalty for them.
Fuck the evilness. LET's GET HIIIIIIIIGH!!!!!

Yep, I have one credit card. Have only used it once, and that was for an emergency plane ticket.
I always get letters threatening me they're going to cut me off, if I'm still inactive. But, they never do.

Cancelling them actually doesn't help your credit score. In the future, you'd be better off paying them down to like, $50 and them making payments on them for a while to improve your credit rating.
Unless you closed them so that you wouldn't be tempted to charge anything else, in which case, good for you

At between 20% to 29.9% APR I want those things done with ASAP. We've done real good with handling our money, but in the last year we had some big car repairs, a WEDDING(!) and we moved 4000 miles from home. We had low rates for years, and it wasn't until we actually USED the damn things in a time of need that they started to dick us over. The credit industry has Amerika by the balls, and there's not much we can do.

Those motherfuckering credit card companies. They always raise my APR on me. I call them and bitch and they lower it back down. I have really good credit so they will attempt to make me happy. But, sometimes you have to play hardball with them.
A month ago I called because they raised me from 12.99% to 14.49%. I do not have a variable rate...I have a fixed rate. So, this rate increase should have never happened. I called and said, "Lower it back now". They said, "Sir...this is really a competitive rate...blah blah...". I said, "I have been with you for years, I always make my monthly payments, and you have made a lot of money off of me. I am just the kind of customer that you want to keep. Lower it now or I will close my account and go with somebody else."
They lowered it back to 12.99%.
