I'm not very experienced, but you might try fanning or airing it out a few times a day.

i don't see a problem. looks fine, other than the holes are kinda big. the heater is what is causeing the moisture on the lid because of excessive heat and evaporation. if your gonna have a heater get use to haveing to top off the resivoir weekly or by weakly.

Spray your lid with a light coat of PAM cooking spray or a similar all natural cooking spray this will stop water from sticking to lid and dropping off...

Remember optimal temps, if i remember correctly, for fruiting is 75, I personally keep my House abbout that Temp so i dont need a heater in my POD. I think if you take that heater out like thenewguy suggested you should see you moisture level go down. I'm not sure of the PAM method but Ive seen other posts on here if you do some searching for a drip guard.

Oh and one tip on the water level, with my personal experience i fill to the top of my Geolite (approx 1") and have had no problems, i just wouldn't put my cakes directly on the Geolite, maby Foil or the Jar lid.

hey thanks everybody, im definitively gonna stop by walgreens tomorrow and fetch some Pam cooking spray. I dont want to take the lid off weekly cause I dont want any contams, and I opened the holes on top bigger cause i thought it may help with the evaporation, but iwas wrong, so whats the ideal holes size? my container has capacity for 50 quarts.

Lower the temp to low 70s if you can.
Humidity is fine, but couldn't hurt to be a bit higher.
Yes, you can birth more than one strain at a time... Why wouldn't you be able to? Unless you plan on putting the two different strains in one casing tray, don't do that.

just one more thing! all this evaporation thing... is that bad or good for the cakes? ... if waters fall down from the lid on the cakes is it gonna mess up everything? or can it simulate rain or something? lol

Well the water can pose two problems.
One: if it drips down and standing water forms on top of the cake, that can result in water going stagnant and becoming prone to bacterial contamination
Two: once pins form, if they get excessively moist, by say water dripping on them, then they will abort, which is bad.
All in all, it's rather unusual for water to condense to the point of drippage, but if that's actually a problem for you, you could always build a drip shield, which is basically a sheet of plexiglass put in there at an angle, so that the water drips down to one side.

what's with all these peeps using gro-rox? perlite is cheap. IMO gro-rox are for one hobby. this is another. but that's my $0.02... if you're growing straight from cakes, you can't have TOO MUCH humidity - but you CAN fan TOO LITTLE. this is the catch 22. 'nuff said. 90-100% humidity is FINE for cakes. you just have to fan the terrarium more often. its easy, dont make it so hard.

Well the geolite/hydroton is endorsed by Magash in his PmP tek, so that's where they're all coming from. He says he has tested the used of each source of humidity and prefers them over perlite. And plus, the perlite will get stuck in the bubbler wands, the bigger particled geolite won't.
When I was doing cakes, I opted for perlite as it was cheaper and easier IMO, but this method is no less effective.

I got perlite but it's too messy, it kind of loses its original form when you mix it with water. i'd use perlite only for like separate little fruting chambers, not for my pod. ..
btw i removed the heater and set my home temperature to 70 .. is that ok?

all i'm saying is this: how are you gonna try to "innovate" when you obviously don't have the basics down???
if you're growing cakes, the form of humidification you use is a mundane detail. it;s not gonna improve your yields.
i'm not gonna touch this one...
krill out.
