For some reason the last couple of months have been of lots of thinking and reflection un like the later part of my life and i have found my self questioning the realnes of God Who is God ? What is He? is God the creation of imagination in search of a superior being to worship? is God a State of Mind - Emotion What really makes us Belive in God? And if we Belive How strong do we belive ? What is our motivation for searching for God or him as a superior being

yea those are the questions arent they?
seriously that is what man has been asking since some early cave man looked up at the stars and wondered who put them there.
All I know for sure is God is a sort of steward of Good/right/light/holiness/etc.
My motivation was the fact I was out of papers. I used a blank bible page to roll a joint(BLASPHEMY! yea I know. God isnt pissed though) and decided since I just ripped a page out of the Good Book I should at least try reading a bit. Thats pretty much it I just kept reading. I dont go to church(it goes against the word).
Everyone has their own view on God, for me hes a friend, for others hes a father or a brother, hell even a sister to some chicks I would think. For atheists hes the enemy. Same guy though IMO. and saying he doesnt exist cant change that fact. I lived denying him for most my life, but I never even really believed that. No one had explained Him to me well enough and I just saw him as another athority figure. I just didnt trust the church and didnt understand that God doesnt belong to churches, hes everywhere. "lift a rock and you find me, move a leaf I am there" or soemthing like that. God didnt much care for churches as far as I can tell from the bible thats why I have such trouble with anyone thinking they are serving God by going to church.
Ok well I rambled a little and I doubt I helped you at all. All I can say is look inward if you want to have any of this stuff resolved in you mind. You wont find the answers in any book, or coming out of anyone elses mouth.
Peace

God is a term to describe the creative force behind everything...
You are god, just as I am god. My dog is god...everything is god. Picture a chain, one end gets bigger, one end gets smaller...going to infinity, or "looping back upon itself" like the uroboric serpant eating it's own tail. We are just a link in that chain, but we are still a part of that chain.
The planet is another link in the chain above mankind, and so the solar system is another link in the chain above that. Look down at the cells of our body...they are a smaller link. Just as the atoms that make up the cells, and the electrons and quarks that make up the atoms.
Everything is connected.

Harmony does not imply an all powerful consciousness or being. Keep that in mind when you use the word god. God is dead... too chaotic for harmony, IMO.
The Universe is in rythm (interference patterns).

God, is who you know 'he' is..
He: Usage Problem. Used to refer to a person whose gender is unspecified or unknown: ?He who desires but acts not, breeds pestilence? (William Blake).
[funny how "they" just make another error, instead of making up for the one causing it.. hahaha.. man I love "them" .. ] (us)

I tend to think of god in terms of a 'greater energy' or conciousness. I dont think of him (yes, I still use the term him, some habbits are hard to kill) in the sense of an single entity, or a single person. I dont think of him as "a guy in white robes sitting on a thrown in a castle built on clouds watching over all of man-kind" type of Christian-vision of god.
But, I just think of a "greater" form of Energy - this energy is connected to everyone, and everything in this Universe (not just our little rock called earth).
When we die, this is what our 'conciousness' or soul returns to, and when we are born - this is where that comes from. We are always connected to it - even if we dont know it or accept it. But, we are.
However, what I am /unsure/ of - does this 'energy' have much control/influence over our day to day lives? does it play an 'active' role in our world? -- i'm not really so sure.... its still something I think on now and then.
In some ways, its comforting to think that there is a higher power who is taking active control over things. But, in other ways - I just dont think thats actually happening.

I've learned God is everthing! He's intangilbe which makes it mysterious; yet, he present everywhere. Blows my mind.

My motivation in the search - I am merely responding to what I perceive to be an intense love for humanity that flows from Ultimate Reality. Perhaps, in philosophy, God can do what She pleases and if He so willed, tyranny and hate could be His monstrous domain for creative subjects. But God as Ultimate Reality is simply awareness. Awareness and Love are much the same. A parent grows to love their babe from being aware of it, and watching it grow. As it is with God, who watches each soul grow. Such an immense awareness is left with nothing but to Love its subjects. Unfathomable compassion. If a human being were to truly experience God's love in its metaphysical form, his body would collapse and die of shock. Only pure consciousness, unchained from flesh can tolerate such unbearable love and compassion. The Love of God burns fierce like a furnace. I get teary even writing this. For me at least, God completes me. I didn't just find God either. The very second I took the first baby step towards Him, He came running like a charging bull. He created things for the sole purpose of loving them. God - in every way, is the treasure that every heart is seeking for and longs for.
