Horse poo

Can dry horse poo from a farm be used instead of dried cow poo because my friend knows someone who works on a farm but they have no cows to make cow poo but they have horses with lots of horse poo! YAY POO! :smile:

Road apples ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :smile: Grab the older drier ones though instead of the fresh stuff. Some pastuerize for an hour in a pillow case at 150 degrees. I just dampen and nuke in the micowave for 10 to 15 minutes........let completely cool....  and then crumble cakes into it and cover with foil with a few holes in it. Mycelia hauls ASS through horse poop.About 48 hours and the casng will be ready to case and initiate pinning with the cover off and some light.Huge fruits and large flushes.........Once you use dung.. you`l nevr go back to anything else IMHO

I'm currently experimenting with a 30/70 combination of horse dung with wheat straw soaked and pasteurized. Excellent colonization.

Dung and "poo" are not the same thing. If you are stuck in the city you can get dung from your local zoo. I have yet to find a zoo that won't sell their dung. They even sell it online... check out www.zoodoo.com (for real!). My friend would not recommend trying to grow on any poo that comes from a carnivore (meat eater). Be sure you read up on how to prepare the dung for growing. It isn't too hard and you will finally get to use that awful pillow case from the ugly bedding your mother in law gave your family last Christmas.

Do you know which zoo.....zoodoo comes from?

Do you think elephant and such is better than say horse or cow chit ?

And which is better......horse or cow chit ?

I have an Uncle that has horses and cattle...so let me know.
