Your pics are way to blurry for an identification....but your find is the popular 'Deer Mushroom' Pluteus cervinus 'complex' or group.... has what are considered flesh colored to pink-brown spores, gills that are close together, that are usually 'free'(not attached to the stem but only the cap)but rarely slightly attatched to the stem....highly variable cap color usually some shade of brown that can become tacky to touch as it dries....usually a strong distinct odor(not always)....usually on wood but not always....maybe on ground ....there are a couple known 'active' mushrooms in the genus Pluteus but these arent them....essential to post clearer picture of your find before you proceed to make a better GUESS(never trust anyone that tells you a mushroom is OK or on a mushroom identification....especially from a picture....especially one that is not clear...you have to KNOW yourself first!) what if your mushroom is actually one of the several deadly(or worse) look-alikes which can also have the same features and color of spores.....

Those might be Pluteus. It is my understanding and experience that Plutei always have distinctly free gills.
I think the smell of Pluteus cervinus can be described as raw potatoes.

I'd say pluteus is a safe guess - since they were growing on wood. They are some of the most common mushrooms found on wood too. This remind you of them any? http://www.shroomery.org/wiki/pmwiki.php/Hunting/PluteusCervinus

I have encountered active Pluteus specimens on two occasions. The first one was very old. It had the characteristic bluing at the base of the stem, and it smelled like an active Psilocybe. The other one was much younger and did not blue, but it had the same smell.
They are generally much smaller than Pl. cervinus, have darker caps, and are most easily distinguished by smell.

Of course the notion of an active Pluteus species is appealing (especially if you live in an area devoid of the less esoteric hallucinogenic mushrooms) however I doubt this genera offers much to those seeking active mushrooms for recreational use. If you intend to increase the breadth of your fungi knowledge by all means cautiously delve into the genera and learn to distinguish it from Entoloma. In addition to what is mentioned above one common feature usually present with Pluteus is a tendency for the stem to readily detach from the cap? and as shroomydan mentioned the potato like smell also reminiscent of radish in my opinion. georgem
