Anyone seen this movie during a trip? i did for the first time this past saturday and it was pretty fuckin sweet. its already shroomy as hell as it is, so its not that big a difference visualy- on shrooms or not, but it still a very very good movie to watch.
I LOVE the music, especially towards the and and during the credits.

I watched this with some friends on a trip. I had already seen it like 5 times so it turned out I didn't really want to watch it anymore, the novelty had worn off. Everyone else was loving it though and got completely absorbed by the movie. It would be great if it was your first time seeing the movie.

I've seen in sober, stoned and drunk, but never whilst tripping. I found it most enjoyable whilst drunk, funnily enough.

I have watched parts of the movie "waking life" while tripping. I loved it, i saw parts of the animation that i had not noticed before and was intrigued by the theories. They really made me contemplate different themes. recommend if you have the patience to sit and watch it while tripsadicking.

I thought it was great. It was easier to follow on mushrooms, and everything seemed to make a lot more sense. Its trippy when your sober anyway.

Cool Movie. You probably only will truly understand maybe 50% of the movie unless you have a knowledge on various philosophical concepts and or have taken a basic intro to philosophy class in college.

It deals with a lot of topics that philosophers such as "Descartes" introduced to Western society and also immplies Subjective truth. As a matter of fact, I believe each segment for the film was written by seperate professors of philosophy, so it is more like a collection of essay's intetwined into one movie.

Hehe, I just remembered this one scene where "Alex Jones" appears with his own 5-10 minutes script. I recognized his voice and ideas. It's the one with the guy driving around in the car yelling through a speaker-phone things dealing with political freedom and what not. Alex Jones is a researcher for what they call "Goverment Conspiracies." Check out his website, he has awesome information.

even with understanding all the philosophical concepts you wont get it all unless you truly practice dreaming. that movie is for dreamers.

Not necessarily, everyone dreams, thus everyone has experience with dreams, but not everyone studies philosophy.

Alough i would agree that someone more familiar with dream lucidity would be inclined to, on a more personal level, understand the movie clearer.

But again, the movie being a collection of various segments toughing different concepts requires a knowledge of it prehand to watching the movie.

I saw the movie when it first came out at a freinds while smoking Mary Jane, it was awesome. It was the craziest thing I had ever seen. After about 3 years, coincidently after becoming a major in philosophy in college, they put the movie on TV and I saw it again. This time, the movie became much more "simple" in the sense that i was familiar with all the fancy words and concepts that were presented, and thus connecting one and two became much more easy to do.

MEh, but I guess thats like anything else in the world. If you watch "Boiler Room" and know nothing about stocks their will be many parts of the film that you may not truly understand. But on the other hand if you happen to be a stcok broker watching the film, you will be familiar with certain phrases used and certain events that take place, thus understandnig it better.

I wish they made a Waking Life 2...although I'm not sure what's really left to be said. Perhaps it could be about tripping instead of dreaming?
