Mixing spore prints

My friend is ready to start a new grow and has asked me to seek the advice of the experts. his last grow of cambodians yielded mushrooms with small caps, therefore his sporeprints were small in diameter. if he were to grow again using these prints and one of the small ones wasnt enough would it be bad for the grow to mix two prints together (from the same batch, but different mushrooms). would the spores not work together or anything?
or is mixing them even necessary? is one 1.5 inch in diameter spore print enough to make a 10cc syringe good?
im assuming my friend says thank you

1 Print will suffice, don't worry too much, there are billions of spores on a "visible" print...tell your friend he will be ok, but on a more literal note...it wouldn't matter much if he DID mix two prints of the same batch, unless you isolate a pure strain, substrains fight for dominance...as long as you are working with the same batch it wont render much if any of a difference. Now if you were to mix multiple SPECIES or STRAIN they would fight for dominance and fruit horribly if at all...all multispore Knock's do this but not as bad when from the same strain/batch...hope I helped, Good Luck.

Uh don't mix the spores of different strains ever. Its a waste of time trust me.
Mixing prints from the same batch is definately ok as they will produce the same mycelium instead of competing like bitches when the strains are different.
If your worried about your spore amount just look into LCs, makes a million syringes man, more than you'll ever need. GL

A 1.5 inch spore print will EASILY make you 5, 10cc syringes.
I wouldn't recommend mixing them because, for one it's not necessary and for two, If one is dirty (contamed) then it will F/U the other one.

I deffinately was not implying he SHOULD mix strains/species...just stating that if he did it would fruit horrinly if at all...it's better to give all scenario's I believe, braoden a knowledge base.

Even if the sporeprints were of two different strains, it wouldn't hurt a thing. It's all the same species. When you use a single sporeprint, hundreds of 'strains' are created. By way of dikaryotic/dikaryotic pairings, they reduce down in the end to a sigle or just a few strains by fruiting time. I've done it many times. If you doubt this, try mixing a few syringes of different strains into the same jar. Instead of 2cc's from a single syringe, try using 1/2cc from four different syringes(different strains). Do a couple of control jars that are single strain. I'll bet ya a dollar you can't tell jar from jar at fruiting time just by looking. RR RR

If you can see any spores at all you have enough for a syringe!
