potting soil case

just wondering if using potting soil {dirt)and verm with no nutes in casing with poo will it create a problem since its not peat. I wouldn't think so but i could be wrong :mushroom2: :rolleyes:

why not just use 100% vermiculite if your not sure?!?

It will probably work. Just not as good as peat. Also make sure that the PH is balanced, you might need to add limestone/calcium carbonate.

i've added calicum carbonate to the mix just cased them last night should i just get some peat today and get rid of the old casing and replace it with 50/50 peat verm.

i would never rip off a casing. once you have made the casing for them there is no going back. that only exposes the mycelium to more stress and more contams.
