 Pasteurization with jars?

So I was wondering if you had to use oven bags to pastuerize hpoo. Oven bags seem to be for bulk use and I have a hard time finding them; I'm thinking of just using leftover jars to pasteurize some compost. Would this mess with the internal temps at all? The only hard thing seems to be fitting the meat thermometer in the jar, but that can be worked around. Thanks for your answers and expect mycoporn soon!

Idon't see any problems except that it's gonna take alot of jars. How much poo are we talking about? Also you can find the bags at Walmart near the aluminum pans.

reynolds oven bags are available at every 5 and dime in every state. i've even got them at gas statons before.

If you're using a bulk sub, you want to pasturize bulk amounts of it and jars aren't ideal.

I'm not pasteurizing nearly enough spawn to warrant spending what little money I don't have on oven bags. Planning on filling a little plastic tupperware for some prints/personals. Thanks for the replies, you folks are great!

Why don't you just do what most bulk'ers do, put it in a pillow case or similar and cook it at 170 degrees for a couple hrs?
Jars seem way too complicated!
